Is the farm certified organic?

Right now, we believe that the farm's methods meet if-not exceed MOFGA's organic standards [as well the USDA's less stringent standards]. The farm is a MOFGA member and fervent supporter. In the future the farm hopes to be MOFGA (Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association) certified organic.

Can we visit the farm?

YES!  Check back in the spring for more info/hours.  The farm is located at 726 Limerick Road, Arundel, Maine.

 

Does the farm offer a CSA ['Community Supported Agriculture'] share ?

We do not offer a CSA at this time but follow us on Facebook/Instagram for future updates.

Can wholesale vendors sign up for the CSA to purchase produce for their business?

If you are a wholesale vendor who wishes purchase Stone Farm produce please contact us via email or phone.

What kind of experience does Mike have in agriculture?

Mike holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology with a focus on environmental sciences and has taken several courses offered by MOFGA. He grew up as a huge 'foodie' and has worked in some fine restaurants in the southern Maine area where he developed his passion for ultra high quality, locally grown produce while doing small scale gardening in his free time. While Mike has done some commercial market gardening at Blackrock Farm, Established in 2010, Stone Farm represents his first independent go at commercial market gardening.
