Update from Stone Farm

Hello Stone Farm CSA members!  Just thought I would give a quick email with some photos of Stone Farm happenings.  A lot of planting is being done and produce should begin flowing in a few weeks!  

Seed starting is well underway!  

Compost is being spread!  Black gold!  

Permanent raised beds are being prepared! Better soil drainage equals happier, healthier plants.  

Tom-aah-toes are germinating!

This week's produce!!! [week of 4/13/15]

Hello everyone!  The produce has begun!  Minimal selection for now with production rapidly building as the season progresses.  The produce that is available for order this week is:  PARSNIPS!!- sold by the 5 lb bag while supplies last.  These are like candy when peeled, cut into small long 'matchsticks', and then roasted in the oven.  Here is another recipe I have been dying to try.

Hello everyone!  I decided to skip a drop off last week due to the holidays but we are back this week!  This week's drop day will be this coming Friday [1/2].

Newly dug parsnips!  SO. GOOD.  

Since we are into winter (...urrghh), selection is limited although I am going to dig some PARSNIPS for sale this week (and probably next week)- they are like candy when peeled, cut into small long 'matchsticks', and then roasted in the oven.
